Great little place for a quick lunch. The owner was so passionate about her food. Everyone In our party was happy with their food. Definitely worth a stop for a quick lunch here.

Lovely little place for some quick quality food. The owner is really nice and sweet. The menu changes and specials changes every week so there's always something new to try. The humus, wings, gyro and Mediterranean food here is all fantastic. All the staff are friendly and really care about the food they make. This place is definitely one of my favorite for lunch.

The service at Hot Box was amazing, on a first name basis! My coworkers and I came here on our lunch break and got our food quickly even though it's made to order. It was hot and delicious food. I had the schnitzel sandwich, and the serving of schnitzel was so huge I had no room to eat the bread! I just ate the schnitzel by itself. However, I was a bit disappointed that the batter fell off the schnitzel in huge sheets, and the meat was tough to where I could not cut it (I had to eat it with my hands). The potatoes as a side were pretty good in terms of texture, but had hardly any spices or flavor. Be aware that there is no seating; you either have to stand at one of three tiny tables in the restaurant or take your food elsewhere to sit down. I'll definitely try more of the food here, although I get more of a "fast food" vibe rather than an "authentic" vibe.

The promise of some brie that I read on the menu finally pulled me in after passing this small eatery so many times.
But what will likely have me coming back to Hot Box is the sweet lady who was friendly and proud of the restaurant behind the counter.
I walked in and grabbed a menu and ended up settling on the French Brie and Salami Wrap.
And while I waited, the clerk, who is maybe one of the owners, greeted so many of the customers by name -- it looks like Hot Box is delicious enough to become a regular spot for folks.
She also talked up the restaurant to some newcomers, like me. The gyro seems to be a favorite. She also got everyone's attention to show us the day's special.
She was selling Hot Box, taking orders and staying up on everyone's food at the same time.
I had my to-go box within a few minutes of walking in, and this lunch was OK. Salami and brie always make a great combo. The potatoes were a nice touch.
But I think next time I'm going to take the lady's recommendation and get the gyro or maybe chicken feta wrap.
If I worked downtown, I could imagine becoming a regular too. -

The food was delicious! There is no doubting that. A little salty, but I should have expected that from a Lamb Gyro. I subbed the grape leafs with roasted potatoes when I looked at my portion size I was a little disappointed for $12. BOY WAS I WRONG - I ended up getting more than enough food. So much I couldn't even finish all of my potatoes! (oh did I want to, though)
The food is definitely a 4-start quality for me. Maybe just a hair expensive. The 5th star is for the workers! All of them were quick to greet me and the lady running the FOH was oh-so kind.
I will be back!
